Birmingham-based Mutt Motorcycles bring an exciting and fresh attitude to the small CC market, by offering affordable luxury for petrolheads everywhere. Mutt bikes are easily accessible to novice and expert riders alike. The brainchild of renowned custom builder and gentleman welder Benny Thomas, all bikes are hand finished and prepared in Birmingham, England. The already well-considered range has an international cult following, and it’s about to get even bigger with new models joining the family this summer.

All commuters know that feeling when you just want to get somewhere fast, without people continually getting in your way. The Mutt Mongrel is just for that purpose. A bad ass machine bred to be a city tool, with a contemporary new wave street tracker vibe.

Combined with a signature rumbling exhaust, there’s no mistaking a Mutt motorcycle. These bikes are unique in a world of new plastic covered machines, devoid of any real soul.

“Although Mutt Motorcycles have a classic look, feel and sound, they’re designed to be a perfectly usable bike for everyone. Mutts have all the mod cons of any other new motorcycle including a smooth five-speed gearbox, light clutch, disc brakes and high-quality front and rear suspension. Mutts are suitable for new riders, experienced riders and are for all ages. They’re incredibly easy to ride and brilliant fun” – Benny Thomas

Due to continued high demand, Mutt Motorcycles have launched new models for Summer 2017: the Mutt Mongrel, the Baja, the Hilts, the s-47 and the ultra-dark Blackest Sabbath.

MUTT MONGREL 2 / £,2950 + OTR

The bulletproof 4-stroke motor, now fuel injected for a sharper, tighter response is housed in the Mutt’s twin shock tube frame. A combined braking system with disc’s front and rear, give the rider that extra stopping power and road confidence.

The slick, hand finished short satin black front mudguard is just enough to keep the road grime out of your eyes. This little puppy really barks through the flat black stainless megaphone silencer. You really need to hear one of these to appreciate the sound.

BAJA / £3,700 + OTR

The paint, reminiscent of supercars and custom paint jobs of the same era, is clean sharp and funky and is applied in-house, by Mutt’s custom paint specialist.

Standard fittings for customers who purchase this bike include, a hand-made leather seat, headlight grill, cross-braced bars, diamond pattern tan grips and the oh so cool super clean 70’s striped paint scheme. The look is finished to perfection with gloss black side panels and mudguards.

HILTS / £,3500 + OTR

An understated city smasher, country cruiser. With high-rise cross braced bars, the diamond pattern black grips sit the rider in an upright position, perfect for riding this machine through inner city traffic or twisting country lanes.

The satin black custom shock sits on a shortened twin shock frame, which houses a bulletproof 4-stroke engine. Mutt has now included an additional fuel injection for that extra bit of performance. Finished off in true Mutt style, with a stainless exhaust that has an unmistakable growl, that customers won’t find on any other 125.

S-54/17 / £3,200 + OTR

With a subtle blacked out vibe, the S54 runs with Mutt’s signature 18” wheels front and rear, with satin black rims and 4.10 x 18 chunky vintage style tyres.

A bulletproof 4-stroke motor is housed in the twin shock tube frame, a short gloss black front mudguard is just enough to keep the road grime out of your eyes. This little puppy really barks through the flat black megaphone silencer.

Metal music was born in Birmingham, right around the corner from Mutt HQ. A Mongrel on steroids, Blackest Sabbath is in tribute to a musical genre that changed the world for good.

The Sabbath is pumped up into an aggressive stance with super chunky Continental twin duo tyres rolling on wide satin black rims, with fully blacked out spokes. Diamond pattern grips on wide flat bars sit over a chunky front end, allowing the rider greater confidence when carving through traffic.

Finishing details include stealth matt black paintwork, a slick hand-made black seat using material cut from Geezer Butler’s very own biker jacket (ok, that bit is a lie but you get the metal DNA).

A satin black custom exhaust is fashioned from stainless steel and howls at the moon like no other 125 and custom shocks. An upgraded halogen headlamp is shrouded with a satin grill for extra protection and perfectly finishes off this little devil on wheels.

Mutt believes in the importance of creating beautiful motorcycles that can be tailored to an individual’s needs. All clients can request bespoke finishes and specifications. As Mutt have no pre-determined accessory catalogue, anything is possible! So, be sure to check out Mutt Motorcycles and customise your summer ride!

The newest additions to the Mutt family will be on display at Europe’s best independent annual motorcycle show, which celebrates the creativity of the new-wave and cafe-racer custom motorcycle culture. Come see for yourself! Visit the Bike Shed Show in London’s Tobacco Quay (Wapping Ln, E1W 2SF) from the 26th – 28th May and pick out your favourite from the bunch.

About Benny Thomas, Founder & Owner of Mutt Motorcycles

Throughout the year, Benny customises a variety of bikes, using bases from classic Japanese bikes to Triumphs and vintage Harleys. Benny has a reputation as being one of the UK’s best bike builders. Benny originally launched Mutt Motorcycles in 2013, after noticing a gap in the custom market, as customers often dreamt of owning a custom bike but the reality proved to be too expensive. In 2015, Benny realised his new business and Mutt became a licensed brand.
