Please read through our Eleven Magazine Ltd privacy policy carefully as it describes our collection and use of data on this website in compliance to the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) regulation, an EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals coming into effect on the 25th May 2018.

1. Who We Are

Eleven Magazine Ltd is a private limited company by shares in England and Wales No: 8666748, incorporated in August 2015. Our legal address is Building 6000, Langstone Technology Park, Langstone Road, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 1SA, UK. Our head office is open weekdays (9 to 6). As a business, we define ourselves as an architecture, design and creative-lifestyle magazine, creative agency and online platform promoting design-led ‘revolutions’ in the form of international competitions.

2. Collecting Information

In order to process enquiries, you will be directed to either call-up or contact us via email. These enquiries end up in a mailbox which resides on our VPS (Virtual Private Server). Currently, all enquiries/emails are not saved in any database(s) we control.

If you have signed up to Eleven, your registration data is stored in our secure website database which resides on our VPS (Virtual Private Server).

If you have registered onto an Eleven competition, your registration data is stored on our secure website database which resides on our VPS (Virtual Private Server). This does NOT include in any way any bank or card details you have provided to register onto a competition.

If you have opted to receive our free newsletter, or have signed up to an Eleven competition, your name and email address will be registered onto our third party mailing client MailChimp in Eleven’s own Mailchimp account database (as per our T&Cs). To be taken off the list, you can unsubscribe directly at the bottom of our website, on the newsletters themselves, or by emailing us directly to request to unsubscribe to info@eleven-magazine.com with the subject line ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’. To be added to an Eleven Magazine Ltd mailing list (MailChimp) you would first need to opt-in, we would never add your name and email without your permission.

3. How We Use Your Information

Users contacting Eleven Magazine Ltd via our website, email and/or phone do so at their own discretion. Any personal information we obtain (be it via telephone, emails, meetings, online registrations) is kept private and stored securely at our office until it is no longer required. You have the right to request we no longer contact you, in this instance, your details would be removed. If/when business is confirmed with Eleven Magazine Ltd, your company details will be added to our accounts database for the purpose of invoicing.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not share your data with other companies or organisations. We do however reserve the right to recommend your products or services to other customers we work with, recommendations are only made if we (Eleven Magazine Ltd) see both parties benefitting.

5. Marketing

Eleven Magazine Ltd may use your personal information to contact you regarding products or services that may be of interest to you/your business either directly or through our EMS (email marketing service) provider. Our EMS provider is MailChimp however you will need to opt-in in order to receive these promo emails. You can unsubscribe from our EMS email marketing campaigns at any time. To unsubscribe, you can do so directly at the bottom of our website, on the EMS newsletters themselves. To unsubscribe to our direct emails, please do so by requesting to unsubscribe to info@eleven-magazine.com with the subject line ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’.

6. Your Information

We do retain your personal information for the duration of a business/working relationship, as long as it is relevant we will keep you on file. If you request a copy of your information you may be required to pay a small admin fee. Rest assured we do not pass on personal information to any third party’s, your personal information will only be used for communications between us (Eleven Magazine Ltd and its customer). Eleven Magazine Ltd understands the importance of privacy, your data belongs to you which means you have the right to be forgotten. We aim to give you more control over your information and put measures in place to keep your information secure. As a company, we are always looking to improve our products and services, giving you (our valued customers) the best possible user experience. We do keep data in our system until it is no longer relevant, but you can request we remove it at any time.

Eleven Magazine Ltd is working hard to address new data regulations (including GDPR), this means we may change our Privacy Policy from time to time in order to comply with any changes to the law. This will not reduce your rights, we are simply trying to tick all the correct boxes and keep everyone (all relevant parties) happy.

Keeping personal information secure is very important to us all at Eleven Magazine Ltd. We follow generally accepted standards in order to backup and protect information sent to us. Our website is hosted with Media Temple, we pay a premium for a premium service. Media Temple offer 24/7 tech support, premium web and cloud hosting, VPS hosting, and dedicated server solutions. If you believe your personal information has been compromised in any way then please contact Eleven Magazine Ltd immediately.

9. Other Sites and Social Media

Eleven Magazine Ltd is not liable for any third-party content you access via social media shares or via ads you may come across whilst browsing our website. Although we do our best to verify that third-party links are both safe and relevant, in no event will Eleven Magazine Ltd be liable for any damages.
